Then off to Hilmar Cheese Factory for a wonder- ful lunch and tour of the facili- ty. Cost $42. (Includes catered lunch) Come to the Senior Center Monday through Fri- day 9-10:30 am to sign waiver form and pay.

Chuckchansi Casino Trip
The next trip to Chukchansi Casino will be on Friday, De- cember 14. Cost is $17 which includes $10 e-cash and $5 towards lunch with photo ID. Early registration for Reedley seniors now open. "I've never been up there before," said Liliahna Bedolla. "I wanted to get involved just for the experience, it is a once in a lifetime event and also I am doing this to help out our community. I feel like the hike is going to be good, but maybe a little bit scary."
Daniela wanted to make sure she joined her friends on the adventure. "I've never been hiking," she said. "I think the most challenging part will be getting up there and then getting back down. I think the hike is going to be hard, but at the same time I think it will be fun too."
The group of students and volunteers met at a "base camp" location near the moun- tain. The trek began shortly before 9 a.m. and lasted well

were instructed to find a boulder and areas that had been vandalized and begin painting. They were each equipped with cans of paint and rollers.
Grace Tademy, a seventh grade student said the hardest part of this hike was the rocks and finding the right footing and grip along the trail. "They [rocks] were unstable and it was really hard," she said. "But, I saw the white rocks so I just kept going."
Grace's friend Kalleah Jimenez said had it not been for Grace she might have given up. "For me climbing up the steep hills was really hard, I thought I wasn't go- ing to make it but then I saw Grace and kept moving for- ward. I would definitely want to do this hike again."

We'll be discussing The Female Persuasion. We meet the first Tuesday of De- cember, December 4, at 10:30 am in the library. On the first Tuesday in January we'll read One Summer; America by Bill Bryson. It is about a long-ago summer.
