The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help for any information that may lead to locating a 72-year-old Sanger man who has been missing for more than 15 months
Ronald Nagata — who suffers from Alzheimer's disease — went missing from his residence in the 3100 block of S. McDonough (between Annadale and Goodfellow avenues) near Sanger. He was last seen on Friday, January 29, 2021 around 5:30 p.m.
After Nagata went missing, more than 100 members of the Fresno Coun- ty Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (SAR) team along with SAR teams from throughout the state searched approximately 50 square miles utiliz- ing ground searchers, Horse Posse, Air Squadron, Jeep Unit, OHV Unit,
search dogs, and swift water rescue personnel. Investiga- tors conducted nu- merous interviews of persons associated with Ronald. The in- vestigation went cold when all leads were exhausted.
As of the Tuesday, May 3 update, there were 232,332 total cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID- 19) out of 2,670,202 tests in Fresno County, with 2,751 deaths and 46 people hospitalized (4 in ICU).
482 cases (1,287 in region) while the Fowler region had 1,726 cases (1,700 in the community) and a continued 32 deaths through May 3. Squaw Valley (231 cases), Dunlap and Miramonte continued with a total case number of 590. The county has not done an update to these numbers for weeks.

Among Mid Valley Times cities in the county through May 3 (no recent updates), the Reedley region still has the most overall positive cases with 9,744 (5,600 in the city proper), and 95 deaths in data on the Fresno County Department of Public Health website.
In Tulare County, there were 106,181 confirmed cases (209 active, an increase of 55 for the week) of COVID-19 with 1,464 deaths and 10 people hospitalized (none in ICU) as of Tuesday, May 3. The breakdowns by cities/regions show 8,094 total cases in Dinuba, 2,766 in Orosi, 1,402 in Cutler, 527 in Traver, 213 in the rural area south of Reedley and 59 in the area southeast of Orange Cove.
