to Wilson, 32 to Grand View and even 33 who visited Kings River Elementary School. Another 60 in this year’s graduating class, who did not go through the DUSD feeder system, visited schools they might have a connection to, such as a location where a younger sibling is attending. Some students have volunteered or interned at locations as well.
The festivities concluded at Kennedy School, where the class of 2018 spent their sixth grade year. They are one of the last to have gone through Kennedy before the DUSD elementary campuses added sixth-grade classes.

The Grad Walk is a trend that is starting to gain traction as a handful of high schools around the country have started to run with the idea.
“We’ve been seeing a lot of other districts, not necessarily in the area, but people have been sharing them on Facebook and social media,” Carrillo explained. “When you see the videos online you see the faces of the graduates and how proud and you see the glimmer in the eye of the younger ones that they are amazed by these adults walking through the halls. We’ve seen the videos and thought we would love to bring this to Dinuba.”
