• Family Health Care will be hosting Fruit & Veggie Fest 2019 on Thursday, May 9 at Roosevelt Park from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will include kids' activities, free health screening, information on Covered CA and other programs, as well as prizes, live music and more.
Roosevelt Park is located at 1390 East Elizabeth Way in Dinuba.
• 'The Festival of the Arts Celebration' will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Alta District Historical Society Museum.
The event will have artwork on display for various schools within the Dinuba Unified School District. In addition, the festival will also feature performances from many talent show participants throughout the day. Children in grades kindergarten through second will also be singing and dancing between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The Alta District Historical Musem is located at 289 South K Street.
• The Alta District Historical Society will be hosting its First Annual Chili Cook-Off fundraiser entitled 'Beans, Brews and Blues' on Saturday May 25. The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at the Historical Society grounds, located at 289 South K Street in Dinuba.
The festivities will include chili tasting, craft beer sampling and entertainment provided by Rene Emilio. The event this year has room for 10 entries and signups will be done on a first come - first serve basis. The cost per team of four is $25. Individual tickets to the event are $25 for adults and $20 for minors, in advance. Tickets at the door are $30 and $25 respectively.

• The Dinuba High School Class of 1979 will be having their 40th Class Reunion on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Fort Washington Country Club in Fresno.
The event will be a business casual attire event (T-shirts and/ or jeans will not be permitted). Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment will start at 7:30 p.m. and dance will begin at 8:30 p.m.
The cost to attend is $60 per person. Payment must be received by Sept. 1, no refunds. Special hotel rates at the Holiday Inn Express on Howard St. in Fresno area availabe by mentioning the DHS Class of '79 reunion.

The Friends of the Dinuba Library concluded National Libary Week (celebrated at the library during the month April) with a drawing held the final week of April. Patrons who checked out books during the month were automatically put into a drawing and winners were announced on Apr. 26. The winners, representing four age categories, received their prizes from Friends of the Dinuba Library last Tuesday a the Library. Pictured above are the winners.
