Lupe Cortez

Emma Becerra González
Emma was born December 12, 1920 in Mercedes, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents the Rev Felix Becerra and Juanita as well as several of her siblings and her son (Taurino and daughter Bertita). She passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Sav- ior on January 31, 2018 after a short illness. She was very active in her church and community. She taught in pre-school programs at Templo Bautista in Weslaco, Texas in the early 1950 and
60’s. As a single mother she was a role model, mentor, coun- selor loving to read, write and sing.
One of her greatest hobbies was quilting, singing in church choir, playing the piano, traveling and playing chinese check- ers. She was the happiest when she was having a great time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She served as a church deaconess and in several leadership roles at the Del Rey Mexican Baptist Church over four decades. She was Sanger’s Mother of the Year in 1983.
Emma is survived by daughters Mary Garza (Joe) from Fresno, Tina Gonzalez (Lupe) of Madera, Maxine Kelly (Allan) of Washington, Dr. Berta Gonzalez of Clovis, and son David Gonzalez of Grover Beach, Ca.
In addition, she left behind 9 grandchildren, 10 great grand children and 4 great-great grandchildrenand a large family of nieces, nephews and friends. She was always there for who- ever needed her. She was fun-loving, humorous and full of life and always with a positive attitude. We love you, we’ll miss you, but we’ll meet again when the Lord calls us home.
A viewing service will be held Wednesday, Febuary 7, 2018 at 6 p.m. at Wallin Funeral Home in Sanger, California, 1524 9th Street. Christian burial service will be held February 8, 2018 at 10:30 am at the First Mexican Baptist Church in Del Rey. (located at the corners of Bethel and American Avenues in Del Rey, California followed by Interment at the Sanger Cemetery .

Marjorie Galloway
A graveside service for Mrs. Majorie Wondalene Galloway of Sanger will be held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 8 at Sanger Cemetery.
Mrs. Galloway, 80, was a floor supervisor for Ballantine Produce.
She is survived by husband Robert Galloway of Sanger; son Ronnie Galloway of Sanger; daughter Debbie Galloway of Sanger; brother Leonard Harp Jr. of Oregon; sisters Lorreta Walling of Oregon and Joanne Johnston, Cathy Bartholomew and Frances Jump of Dinuba; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Rosemary Garcia
A chapel service for Mrs. Rosemary G. Garcia of Sanger will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 12 at Wallin's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Garcia, 72, died Jan. 27, 2018. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by husband Leonard Garcia of Sanger; son Adam Garcia of Sanger; daughter Paulina Garcia of Fresno; and one grandchild, Giovanni Sanchez.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Feb. 12 at the funeral home.

Joe Silva
The holy rosary will be recited for Mr. Joe Hernandez Silva of Del Rey at 7 p.m. on Feb. 8 at St. Mary's New Catholic Church in Sanger and a funeral mass will be celebrated for Mr. Silva at 9 a.m. on Feb. 9 at the church.
Mr. Silva, 83, died Jan. 31, 2018. He was a plumber for the Plumbers Union of San Jose.
He is survived by son Vincent Silva of Sanger; daughters Yvonne Mercado of Idaho, Diane Bustamante of Clovis and Letitia Valenzuela and Doreen Silva-Gutierrez of Fresno; sisters Gloria Mojica of Menlo Park and Arlene Garcia of San Jose; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Mr. Silva was preceded in death by his wife Dora Silva; and his son Joseph Silva.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

A graveside service for Mr. James Alvin Sisemore Jr. of Sanger was held on Feb. 7 at Sanger Cemetery.
Mr. Sisemore, 73, died Feb. 1, 2018. He was a warehouse supervisor for PPG Industries Inc.
He is survived by wife Melinda Sisemore of Sanger; son Steven James Sisemore and wife Christine of Clovis; daugh- ter Joanna Ransen of Santa Clarita; and four grandchildren.

June 12, 1971 - December 25, 2017
Jon Christopher Leong, beloved son and brother, unexpectedly passed on Monday, December 25, 2017. Chris was 46 years old.
He was born in Wasco, California on June 12, 1971 and was raised in Sanger. He was a graduate of Sanger High School, class of ‘89, and a member of the Sanger High Foot- ball team, earning all-NYL honors as an offensive lineman.
He worked for Von’s and Food 4 Less, he was a produce clerk.
He is survived by his father James Tin, brother James and Patrick (Stephanie), nephew Steven, nieces Shaun and Jayme, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Maria.
Services will be held at the Chapel of the Light, 1620 W. Belmont, Fresno, CA on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. A friends and family celebration will be held at VFW Post 8900.
