Eleven students from Dinuba High School were recently recognized under the school’s Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports program. The program aims to reward students for their good behavior rather than discipline them for their unwanted behavior.
The students were honored for exhibiting character qualities such as Excellence, Maturity, Perseverance and Safety. Under the program, the following students were named Emperors of the Month for February. They were selected by teachers and staff at Dinuba High School.
Here is what they had to say about them:
Scott Childress
“Scott is a kind individual who cares about the wellbeing of others. Scott is an honest person and is a Good Samaritan. He is a person of integrity and is a genuinely good person. Good luck in all you do Scott!”

Ruth Galvez
“Ruth’s excellence in academics is not her only strength. Ruth also has a service-oriented heart, being the first to volunteer whenever there is a need. Currently, Ruth is giving back to our own school by volunteering in the library. With a smile on her face each and every day, Ruth embraces service to others.”

Daniel Gonzalez
“Daniel is a great example of excellence and perseverance. He continues to amaze me every day. He works so hard in class and is so motivated to be successful and improve his health. He continues to break personal records and keeps a great attitude through it all. I am confident Daniel will reach his overall goals through his hard work and dedication. Keep up the great work and continue to take those steps to a healthier life one day at a time.”

Daniella Hernandez-Perez
“Daniella is a model student in Biology. Although she is at the top of her class she is humble and friendly to everyone. She is willing to help other students by explaining complex concepts. She completes her assignments on time and at a high level quality. She is attentive and always on task. I hope she continues her academic excellence throughout high school and into college.”

Darianna Marcias
“Darianna is a great example of excellence and perseverance. Darianna continues to break personal records and reach her goals one step at a time. She is
constantly pushing through the intense workouts and beyond her comfort level. She knows how to work hard and knows the amount of intensity needed to push through the fitness barriers. I am very proud of Darianna’s work ethic in class. I love that she always has a smile on her face and she is always helpful and motivating to peers.”

Angelica Mondragon
“Angelica exemplifies the heart and soul of a well-rounded and mature Dinuba High School Student. She participates thoroughly in academics and co-curricular activities, plus finds time to volunteer in our own library after hours. Thank you Angelica for demonstrating the power of giving back.”

“Monce is by far a sweet and kind individual. I know I can trust her with any task, especially with helping out our counselors

“Caitlin has displayed “EMPS” with an emphasis on perseverance. Caitlin has recently been forced to make many adult decisions that will provide a positive plan for her upcoming life journeys. Aylin Zepeda-Melchor
“Aylin is an excellent student who is always on task and someone who is driven to improve and learn within class. She is a model student while also being very kind, respectful, and helpful to others within the classroom. She is a hard worker who is determined to be the best student she can be and it is a pleasure being her teacher this year. No doubt in my mind that one day she will accomplish her dreams.”
