ed the live auction at St. La Salle for several years and said it’s an event he enjoys partici- pating in.
“I am looking for- ward to everyone hav- ing a good time tonight and raising money for a good cause,” he said.
“The school pro- grams, the kids, and that’s what I really look
forward to.”
Raising money and
having the audience participate is a skill that he said took years for him to master.
“Yes, it [auctioneer- ing] requires a lot of practice,” he said.
“There are a lot of individuals in the busi- ness that are either self taught auctioneers meaning that they’ve grown up in the auc- tion industry like I did or there are newcomers who are wanting to be auctioneers so they go to auctioneer school.”
Hundreds attended the auction, and school officials said it was a huge success.
“I would like to thank everyone who attended tonight,” said Sister Lucy Cassari- no, principal of St. La Salle. “Also all the par- ents who are here and came out to support our event, thank you."
