It might be Carlos Barajas’ first year as Dinuba High’s head football coach, but he’s already hitting the ground running.
The football program hosted the annual football camp, “Under the Lights” at the DHS stadium. The camp is an effort to give aspiring athletes the opportunity to hone their skills under the leadership and guidance of high school level coaches. The camp also was a chance for current Emperor players to work with younger players in the community.
Dinuba High standout, Josh Magana, was one of more than a handful of Emperors to volunteer. Magana was seeing helping campers grip a football and throw.
The camp drew a good size amount of participants and spectators under perfect conditions.
Friday’s camp consisted of six stations that offered up some challenges for some of the participants and insight on how to get better.
