Promised to work in harmony with other board members to continue building hope and future for our children.
"With critical needs such as an additional high school and improvements to current facilities, I will commit my efforts to seeing these needs become a reality.
"With so much of Sanger’s future contin- gent on what happens in our children’s class- rooms, I will work diligently to provide the necessary tools to ensure that our approxi- mately 11,000 students have the advantages they need to succeed in school and ultimately in their adult lives.
"Keeping pace with district growth is our major challenge."
Jesse Solorio
"Now more than ever, families need repre- sentation on the school board to protect fam- ily values and to keep parents informed about their children's safety and growth.
"Parents today have many challenges, bal- ancing long hours, understanding their kids' technology and having the time to engage with their educational needs and goals.
"We need to hire and retain quality teach- ers. We must ensure that the work environ- ment is positive, respectful and recognizes the hard work and dedication of its employ- ees.
"Growth in our great district is both a blessing and a challenge we must meet."
Eli Ontiveros
"I will continue to hold our city manager and his employees accountable.
"I do not support outsourcing city services because I believe we have a city staff that should work efficiently on our behalf.
"I want you to see our tax dollars at work in Sanger by maintaining a safe community that includes a good quality of life for fami- lies and youth.
"I support creation of a multi-field sports complex, that I propose to fund using a new funding mechanism.
"I am pro-business and I will work with other local businesses to serve our residents. "I will listen to your concerns and see they
are acknowledged by city hall."
Michael Montelongo
Cited his 12 years experience on the city council, three years as mayor.
"During my previous tenure on the coun- cil, I represented Sanger on the Council of Governments and the Local Agency Forma- tion Commission which generated regional funding for projects such as the 180 freeway, roads, parks, and various non-profit organiza- tions within our community.
"My goal will be to focus on continuing
to build a stronger Sanger for our next gen- eration. My priorities are improving public safety, roads, parks, youth, and economic de- velopment. I will work to attract businesses to Sanger with the expectation of generating tax revenue and jobs."
Council District No. 2 Melissa Beasley
"I want to ensure this is a town all our chil- dren can be proud of growing up in. I don’t want the residents of any corner of this town to feel forgotten about, and I want to make sure everyone feels heard. From crime to potholes, I want us to work together and fix our problems. We need city hall to be fiscally responsible and transparent in all that it does, and work with and for its residents."

• Growth is on track to reach 14,000 stu- dents by 2022;
• The Loma Vista area will generate more
than 1,000 K-12 students;
• Southeast Fresno will generate another
1,600 K-12 students;
• Sanger High enrollment is already more
than 3,000 students; and,
• WAMS enrollment is already more than
