“I plan to make it more than just what Saturday night was,” Rivera said. “I hope I have the opportunity to visit elementary schools, public events like Cinco de Mayo. Hopefully I can do more in the community.”

He is also taking AP classes with plans to enter the medical field - Rivera lists UCLA as his dream college. He also hopes there is more performing in his future as well.
Rivera said, “My goal after high school is I have a medical goal of being an anesthesiologist. I’ll work
towards that, and also being a professional performer and I love speaking in front of audiences.”

Sentinel staff report
When the city of Dinuba introduced Ridge Creek Golf Club there were expectations that nearby housing would soon follow. After passing an economic downturn, those visions were realized on Saturday when Woodside Homes officially introduced their four model homes.
The development is known as Ridge Creek Estates, featuring a gated community of homes next to the golf course.
Woodside Homes’ project features semi- customizable houses that are targeted for “move- up and entry-level” single family buyers. The homes will range between 1,983 to 3,671 square feet and start at $304,990.
The model homes are now open, but the rest of the neighborhood is planned to be built out
as buyers are ready. There is currently a lottery system in place to assign lots to those on the buyers’ list.
Bob Roberts, Woodside Homes Superintendent, previously told the Sentinel “We’ll build as we sell. Typically, people come in and pick out their floor plan depending on which lots are available and then we start construction. We do releases at four homes at a time ... The build time is four months from construction to move-in.”
The first phase of homes will consist of 107 lots, with the total project set at 170 homes. According to city officials, the project is planned to be fully completed by 2020.
The property of about 60 acres was originally purchased by the city of Dinuba for about $700,000 and sold to Woodside Homes for about $790,000.
