Vera is survived by her loving and devoted husband Joe, her daughters Linda, Carol and her husband Michael, and son Mike and his wife Leslie. Jessica Milam along with the Milam, Hanson and Pickering Families wish to express our sincere gratitude to all the relatives, friends, colleagues, media and community members that supported Jessica and her family in the after- math of the Route 91 Harvest Festival Shooting in Las Vegas on October 1. Your phone calls, texts, messages, actions, donations, gatherings, gifts, cards and letters, events and invaluable prayers truly helped carry Jessica and our family through this harrowing time. We would like to extend our appreciation to Destene Albers for her bravery and ensuring that Jessica made it out of the concert grounds, to the staff at Sunrise Medical Center for the skillful care she received and to Jerry Nelson who stayed by her side throughout. Jessica has resumed her life in Anaheim and is focusing on moving past this event and into her future. We are grateful to be a part of such an amazing community. Thank you!
