Appointed as the Maori All Blacks Head Coach in 2013 Colin Cooper has had success as a a a a a a player and a a a a a a coach Cooper was unbeaten on his rst two campaigns as Head Coach of the Maori All Blacks his victories coming against Test sides Canada USA and Japan In 2015 he beat Fiji but suffered a a rst loss to the New Zealand Barbarians In 2016 he he led the team to to victory over USA followed by a loss to Munster and a a a win over Harlequins He is also coaching Taranaki’s Mitre 10 Cup provincial team – another side with whom he has long connections He ran out 101 times for Taranaki and his playing career also included selections to the Maori All Blacks 1982-1983 and the Junior All Blacks in 1982 After hanging up his boots Cooper had a a a two-year stint in in the Assistant Coach’s seat and was Taranaki’s Head Coach from 1999-2002 before joining the Crusaders as Forwards Coach in 2002 and seeing them proceed unbeaten to the title He was appointed Hurricanes Head Coach from 2003-2010 leading the team to a a spot in in the nal in in 2006 Returned to Taranaki in 2011 THE MAORI ALL BLACKS
