The winner of tonight’s match will be presented with a a a a a a a special taiaha Te Pou which will be called onto the eld with a a a a a a a a a a karanga The taiaha is a a a a a a a a a a a a a a traditional Maori weapon and each one presented during the DHL NZ Lions Series has been carved especially for the match Each one has a a a a a a connection to the Host region Te Pou is a shortened form of Pounamu which is the the traditional name of the the the greenstone for which the the South Island is renowned Te Pou was formally presented to the Christchurch City Council
in September 2016 The taiaha was made from ancient kauri and and and carved at the New Zealand Maori Arts and and and and Crafts Institute It has red and and and black feathers to represent the the Canterbury region TEAM WELCOME
