ON BEHALF OF THE NEW ZEALAND BARBARIAN Rugby Club I would like to to welcome you to to Toll Stadium Whangarei for the the opening game of the the DHL New New Zealand Lions Series against our New New Zealand Provincial Barbarians team with a a a a a a a a a special welcome to all those Lions supporters who have travelled so far to to be here tonight This is is a a a hugely signi cant event for our club as it will be our rst-ever international xture on on New Zealand soil and and sets the scene for what promises to be an enthralling series with the British & Irish Lions It is appropriate that our team has been selected from the Mitre Mitre 10 10 Cup and and Mitre Mitre 10 10 Heartland Championship teams It gives the opportunity for our best provincial players from around the country to take the the eld against one of the the world’s most famous touring sides and it embodies our our club’s involvement with provincial rugby dating back
