This is my favourite Hen, Millie. She’s five and is still laying an egg each day.
She spends her days following us around as she is by herself now having outlived four friends. Andrea Hallissey

Ethel
This is my grandson George with his favourite hen, Ethel. I have 12 hens on my allotment and my grandchildren have named them all.
My allotment is in Leiston, Suffolk and I have had it for three years now. It was a mess when I first got it, the grass was three foot high and I also had a burnt out shed! I am pleased to report, however, that now, after a lot of hard work, the plot has a summer house, six beds with vegetables and fruit, an orchid with apple, pear and cherry trees, two greenhouses, one chicken run and a place for the grandchildren to play. I have flowers as well. Vearer Detlef
