Chocolate Chillies, Tarzan Radishes and Meteor Peas in your back garden?
The Conservation Volunteers have teamed up with Moshi Monsters to get children gardening
Children love gardening. They enjoy the excitement of waiting for a seed to sprout, learning how they can help their plants grow, tending their little plots and even growing their own vegetables. It is also a great way for them to have fun in the fresh air.
Thanks to national charity The Conservation Volunteers
(TCV) and the incredibly popular Moshi Monsters online game, children will now have the chance to use Moshi Monster branded gardening tools and even grow their very own Moshi fruit and vegetables with a unique range of specially chosen seeds.
For the very first time, you will be able to buy special Moshi Monsters seeds, meaning that children will be able to grow their very own unusual plants just like they do in the virtual game, except now it will be in their very own back garden, window box or plant pot. They might even find their way onto your dinner plate!
The new gardening range, which launches in September 2014, includes colourful spades, hoes, hand trowels, hand rakes, buckets, wheelbarrows, kneeler pads, rakes, garden brushes, hand forks, watering cans and gloves. New seed varieties include Tarzan Radish, Meteor Peas, Chocolate Chillies and a strange fruit called a Cucamelon.
This range has been created by TCV and Moshi Monsters, who have brought the online game to life to encourage more children to get outdoors, be active and get involved in gardening.
