2 RIFLES rugby
2 RIFLES rugby has seen significant advancements in the organisation and performance both on the field of play and off.
The team saw a successful season off by getting to the quarter-finals after a season with the majority of the teams first 15 not playing at the same time due to commitments.

The reins have been picked up by CSjt Dave Lloyd who has been waiting for the excuse to leave his desk for the last year. The team itself now moves into
a development period in the quieter league of Championship one North, with an interesting fixtures list to look forward to.

a regular squad member and LCpl Waqawaqa has had an outstanding
season playing for the infantry and a succession of civilian clubs in the local area.

With the development season approaching and the majority of the senior players absent on operations
it will be an interesting season in
which the youth of the battalion will be allowed to show their flair and compete for future seasons.
