Sadly they were not so keen on the second day which started at 0700hrs with more free beer and they wisely went for the soft drinks. A fantastic couple of days which saw the platoon march with the Maspern Kompanie through
training event. Enough Gunners and Drivers have now been trained to meet A Coys requirements prior to them deploying to the Falklands in September. The aim is to do the same for D Coy when they return in the not to distant future.
The ROG has continued to rise to each challenge and trawl that has been set for it and will continue to do so until December this year when it will be stood down and allow the Riflemen to return to their new positions under the re-orbat that is due to take place. It is never a glamorous job but the Riflemen on the ROG have performed with professionalism and pride on each event, parade or guard and will continue to do so until the Bugler sounds no more parades!
