that the Divisional Sergeant Major who had never had to conduct a drill parade with Riflemen present, was taught the right way to conduct drill! The parade was a great success and the finale saw the Riflemen double off having had only one rehearsal with the band that had arrived that morning. really enjoyed themselves and pushed themselves to see who could drink the most of the free beer. Sadly they were not so keen on the second day which started at 0700hrs with more free beer and they wisely went for the soft drinks. A fantastic couple of days which saw the platoon march with the Maspern Kompanie through
training event. Enough Gunners and Drivers have now been trained to meet A Coys requirements prior to them deploying to the Falklands in September. The aim is to do the same for D Coy when they return in the not to distant future.
The ROG has continued to rise to each challenge and trawl that has been set for it and will continue to do so until December this year when it will be stood down and allow the Riflemen to return to their new positions under the re-orbat that is due to take place. It is never a glamorous job but the Riflemen on the ROG have performed with professionalism and pride on each event, parade or guard and will continue to do so until the Bugler sounds no more parades!

place would take far too long, but a couple of areas that do deserve mention include the Platoon of Riflemen that attended the 2014 Paderborn Shutzenfest that involves drinking copious amounts of beer and the consumption of large pork steaks with our affiliated German Shutzen brothers of the Maspern Kompanie. The Platoon made up predominantly of young A Coy Riflemen
has taken a lot of hard work not only by the instructors under WO2 Harding but also by the G4 and LAD team that have ensured that there have always been enough vehicles as well as
equipment and ammunition
