REGIMENTAL JOURNAL OF THE ROYAL LANCERS (QUEEN ELIZABETHS’ OWN)
 Remembrance Day
2019 saw the Regiment engaging in acts of Remembrance throughout the UK. All members of the Regiment were able to go back home to their local areas and pay their respects to all those that had paid the ultimate sacrifice in past conflicts. They were able to do so alongside family, friends, loved ones and members of their communities.
Members of the Regiment attended Services in well of 40 differ- ent locations. All Royal Lancers felt proud to be honouring the fallen in such away. Family members commented on how proud they were to be standing side by side a serving member of the Regiment on such a poignant day. Many a Royal Lancer said that they felt a huge sense of pride and belonging being able to go back to their home towns representing their Regiment.
Many members of the Regiment were asked to lay wreaths as part of a service which was a privilege. WO2 Lucas, SSgt Smith, Cpl Clayton and Cpl Pipe were asked to
lay a wreath at Leicester City Football
Stadium and so was Tpr Sheridan at Bolton Wonders Football club.
From North Scotland through North- ern England, the Midlands, Wales, the West Country, London, South England to Belgium, the Balkans, the Baltics, Afghanistan to Australia. The Regi- ment was able to reach out to members of their communities like never before to come together to remember those that had fallen.
