Many congratulations must go to Cpl Allen, who was recently awarded the Top Crew Commander award, recording his achieve- ment during the newly held Crew Commanders Dinner Night. Also, not forgetting the newly promoted LCpl Blondin-Diop for attaining the Top Trooper prize regimentally and rewarded with a visit to the Brewers Company Lunch held in Brewers’ Hall in Aldermanbury Square.
It’s not all fun and trophies in Headquarters Squadron, and there has been the standing details of regimental life. Commitments to Italy on Exercise CASSINO LANCER and Israel on Exercise LEVANT GAUNTLET have been essential battlefield study exercises, both aimed at developing our junior commanders. Ex- ercise CAMBRIAN PATROL 2019 selections saw Headquarters Squadron meeting its commitments and providing team mem-
bers to secure a Silver Medal. The annual inspection regimes continue, only now they are called something different from what the readers may recall; Equipment Care Inspections (ECI) are renamed Land Equipment Assurance (LEA) and Logistic Supply Inspection (LSI) is renamed Logistic Support Assurance and Inspection (LSA&I). The name change does not mean that there is any reduction in the amount of effort needed to ensure that the Regiment continues to be held in high regard when it comes to Logistics and Equipment audits.
What next? A busy year ahead as always but filled with oppor- tunities for HQ Squadron to win yet more plaudits. More about
these successes in next year’s Chapka.
