Women’s Rugby Captain and World Cup 2014 Winner, and FA Cup Referee Mr Andrew Halliday MBE. Proceedings com- menced with a welcoming champagne fountain followed by an inspiring montage video of the Regiment’s sporting and adven- turous training activity from the year. Dinner was then served, followed by the awards ceremony and an after-dinner address by Miss Taylor: drawing clear parallels between small team co- hesion in recce and teams in high end sport; mental resilience and; demonstrating the ruthless will to win by overcoming and learning from failure. A poignant address that truly resonated with every level. 13 Half Colours, 10 Colours and three Honor- ary Colours were awarded this year. The Top Team Trophy was awarded to Orienteering and the highly contested Babbington Shield was won by D Squadron. The evening was an unparal- leled success that we hope will be an annual event going forward.
