Autumn is in the air...
Community news and what’s on to hedgehog care – something for everyone...
Do you have a pet? Our purely pets feature (page 22) will help you find all sorts of local pet professionals. So if you need pet food, healthcare, walking fields or help with the training, you will find the right people here.
If you enjoyed part one of our hedgehog care article, then catch up with even more prickly news (page 16). Please be especially careful at this time of year when lighting bonfires, as our spiky little friends can be using them to live in.
Eric Franklin is covering one of our favourite topics this issue – the local railway and its station houses. It’s such a shame that we don’t
still have the trains making their way through our beautiful countryside. It would not only be a fantastic way to travel but would also give us a chance to see our amazing landscape from a different perspective (page 19).
Now that the darker autumn evenings are upon us, how about a comforting sweet pudding to tempt your tastebuds? Roasted fruits, served best with a big dollop of double cream – or maybe ice cream if you have an even sweeter tooth! (page 26)
