TDI Churches
(St James, Thrapston, Holy Trinity Denford and St Nicholas,Islip)
As we move into 2021 the optimism surrounding various vaccines is very exciting and potentially a great answer to prayer,
but with new strains of the virus emerging and many restrictions set to continue for the months to come, this is still a tough winter.
We are planning to continue Sunday morning services in our churches as restrictions allow. It has been wonderful
to see familiar faces in church on Sunday mornings albeit that they are smiling behind face masks. We are maintaining social distance but it is still good to be together and to celebrate Holy Communion.
To ensure social distancing is maintained and so that we can prepare the buildings appropriately, anyone wanting to attend the services must book in advance. You can do so via a simple booking form on our website. Please note anyone attending will also be required to wear a face mask unless they are exempt from doing so.
Please always check the website for up to date information regarding services in church as regulations can change very quickly and with short notice. https://www.tdichurches. co.uk
At the time of writing (2.1.21) we are hoping to have services as follows:
All services start at 10.00am
Sun 28th Feb Communion Service in Islip Sun 7th March Communion Service in
Thrapston
We are still planning to continue the online services which are available on our website on Sunday mornings but you can watch them at any time and send the link on to friends. https://www.tdichurches.co.uk
St Paul’s Church, Thrapston
Mass in Thrapston was celebrated at 9.30am on Sunday mornings, but is now at 11.00am. Please note new time.
There is a weekday Mass in Thrapston on Thursday mornings at 10.00am.
Please continue to check the weekly newsletter on the website for up to date information. This can also be viewed on St Paul’s church door.
The church will be sanitised between
the 9.30am and 11.00am services and all Masses are Covid-19 compliant. We are adhering to social distancing rules and are bound by the latest government initiative, the rule of 6. We can host more than six persons, but no one should visit in groups of more than six unless they are from the same household or “bubble”.
At the time of writing (3.1.21) congregation members are advised:-
• Numbers are limited so please obey the
Stewards and follow the one-way system. • Please keep social distance (1 metre plus)
and wear a face covering or mask.
• During the Mass, Holy Communion will be
brought to you in your place by the Priest or Eucharistic Minister. Please stand if you wish to receive, on the hand only with arms extended fully. No personal “Amen” is spoken.
• Music will be played by the organist. There is no singing except by the cantor.
