                                WHAT’S ON
Praise and Play on Zoom – learn about rainbows
We’re learning lots about what works best for families at this time, and so have moved the time of our online session to 10.00-11.00am every Monday during term time.
If you would like to join in please email: tdichurches@gmail.com for the link and a resource pack.
Over the next few weeks we are going to be learning that God made a rainbow and the colours that we see in the world around us are all made from the 7 colours of the rainbow. He gave us the rainbow as a promise of his love and care for his world, reminding us that he would never flood the whole earth again.
What will be in each Zoom session?
1. Some time to say “hi” to other parents.
2. A snack time together -
for parents/carers and children alike!
3. A time to enjoy the sticking activity included in this resource pack.
4. A ‘show and tell’ time. If your little ones find anything or make anything before the session, we would love them to share it with us.
LIVE OPERA IN THRAPSTON IS BACK
– OR WILL BE SOON!
Thrapston Plaza Opera is pleased to announce that three performances of Franz Lehár’s comic operetta “The Merry Widow” are to
be staged at The Thrapston Plaza on 17th, 18th and 19th February 2022. This was the production previously planned for Feb 2021 but postponed due to Covid restrictions.
If the ‘Roadmap to Recovery’ is able to be followed nationally as planned, we hope to begin weekly chorus rehearsals later this year, starting on Tuesday 21st September.
All will be welcome to come and take part especially any new members.
Meanwhile, socially distanced COVID-19 compliant individual auditions for the principal rôles will take place in the Plaza on Sunday 4th July from 2pm to 5pm, for which individual time slots will be allocated upon request.
Like all organisations, this has been such a difficult time for Thrapston Plaza Opera but members have been able to keep in touch and keep singing with online Zoom rehearsals. We even held our AGM as usual, again on Zoom!
So, we hope to welcome live audiences back
to the Plaza next February albeit in possibly limited numbers depending on any Covid restrictions in force at that time.
Further details of our plans and general information are available on our website
