Army Reserve Bands are increasingly busy, and the past year for the Salamanca Band and Bugles of The Rifles has been no different. Band and Bugle members engage in
all sorts of interesting activities. Sjt Tim Watson, for instance, is an experienced triathlete and came 16th at the World championships in Switzerland, achieved GB selection for the 2020 European and World championships and won a bronze medal at the European championships in 2019. At the opposite end of the scale, WO2 Rich Cregan recently played the title role in ‘Dick Whittington’ in Honiton, to huge acclaim! Lastly, Bugle Major Andy Gait, has volunteered for Op TOSCA and will soon be deploying with other Riflemen from 6RIFLES. The Band wishes him well on his operational tour.
