 Jurassic Coast Branch
Chair: Marjorie Bandy Secretary: Pat McKay
During this time of lockdown the branch has been very active. We have had weekly Saturday zoom meetings since the end of April 2020.
Members, spouses and guests have taken part. The topics have been very varied. We discussed our favourite posting and celebrated International Nurses Day by saying where we trained and talking about an item. For some this was their hospital badge and for others their buckle or a photograph. We have learnt so much about each other.
Some members have given presentations for example about sailing the North West Passage by Karen Melling and letters home from Chipata Hospital by Penny Moody, medical
Branch Zoom meeting
cover for an archaeological dig in Peru was presented by Kay Foster and Moreen Doyle gave us some insight into working in the Cayman Islands. These have all been fascinating and informative.
The Zoom meetings have been a
huge support for members during this difficult time of the Covid-19 pandemic. Gifts in the form of hampers or flowers have been sent to those members who have had a particularly difficult time and these have been most gratefully received.

 Millbank Branch
Chairman: Lindi Kibbey Secretary: Judy Cook
It will come as no surprise to hear that all planned Millbank activities since the Spring issue have been cancelled due to the lockdown requirements of Covid-19.
Fortunately we have managed to keep in touch with members with regular news and updates from our chairman Lindi Kibbey to all those with email. Additionally between them all committee members have
and continue to regularly contact the 46 more senior members of our branch. Additionally small gifts were arranged for all in this group. Thanks must go HQ for funding for these gifts.
Although there are articles in this edition about Covid-19 it would be wrong not to add how proud we are at our Branch of all those many members of Millbank who helped plan, set up and operate NHS Nightingale London. Well done and thanks to you all.
Additionally during this epidemic many of our members have continued to or returned to work in the NHS or allied professions. Again, thanks to you all.
Finally although activities are currently on hold, the committee continue to meet and plan using virtual meeting technology. Hopefully our robust and active branch will soon return to some normality.
