We have all suffered the worry, pain and suffering associated with the pandemic, but as we begin to emerge from ‘hibernation’ we invite you to discover more about one of the best and caring organisations – Freemasonry.
Freemasonry encourages men of all ages over 21 years to join an organisation that has these four most important values at its core: Integrity, Respect, Friendship and Charity.
Our 200,000 UK members come from all walks of life and meet as equals whatever their faith, ethnic group or position in society. For many, this spirit of fellowship is what is valued most, making new friends and helping others. Freemasons contribute over £33million a year – raising funds through voluntary donations, we support individual members, local communities and global emergencies.
St Wilfrid Lodge, which celebrates its
centenary in 2023, meets in the historic Talbot Hotel and has organised an ‘Open Day’ on Sunday 22nd August 10pm-2pm to be held in the Westgate Suite, at the rear of the hotel. The ‘Open Day’ will provide the opportunity for men, and their partners, to understand more about Freemasonry, how it could benefit them and their families socially, and how they could assist with many and varied charitable causes.
If you would like to see what a Masonic Lodge Room looks like, put a few misconceptions to bed, and discuss relevant issues, we cordially invite you to join a few members of the Lodge to discuss them over a cup of coffee.
