GARAGE SALES FOR 2023
The next Garage Sale is
Sunday September 17th 10am-3pm Registration is £5, all money goes to charity.
Forms available via email – check out our Facebook page or from 10 Heron Avenue and the Town Council Office. These are great fun and allows us all to get rid of unwanted items
ROTARY SHOEBOX APPEAL
We will be holding a Shoebox Workshop morning in St James Hall
on July 29th 10-12pm.
All donations of coloured pencils, rubbers, sharpeners, pens, gratefully received. We will make up stationary packs. We will also be making other bits up – come along (bring the kids) it is a wonderful experience. We sent 550 boxes in October and we have another 100 to send, due to sponsors at Christmas Lights.
Our Shoebox Launch Day will be in the Plaza on Saturday October 7th, 10am-2pm. Thank you to all who supported us in 2022.
THRAPSTON W.I.
The WI meets on the first Thursday of each month in Thrapston Baptist church, St Paul’s Gardens NN14 4 FE. Visitors are welcome. We will be serving teas in the Plaza from 2-4.30pm.
LINE DANCING
Learn something different, exercise, join
a club, meet some fun loving people, no partner needed. We meet every other Tuesday time 12.15 till 1.15 at St James Church Hall, Thrapston. Suzanne Thurlow teaches the line dancing, no previous knowledge required. Cost £3, come give it a try, if you like having fun and a laugh and have trouble with right and left you will fit in perfectly!
Volunteer Action
We are always busy supporting the local community and fundraising – get in touch to see how you can help! We need you!
We are holding a volunteers week 1st -7th June in our offices in Oundle – we are also hoping to extend to a venue in Thrapston. Lots of tea, cake and good chats – an opportunity to come along and enquire as to what it involves to volunteer.
Volunteer Action have a stall at the Charter Fair and look forward to seeing everyonethere – we will have quiz sheets for sale and a tombola or two.
