due course by WO2 Wales. SSgt Yates and Sgt Johnson returned from BATUS to take over as SQMS and SHQ Troop Sergeant respectively. Sgt Cosby came in from PoW Sqn, Sgt Revel joined us on transfer from The QRL and LCpl Horner returns to the Squadron after a posting to the Regional Outreach Team in Strensall. Tprs Blackshaw and Plowman moved to do time at PoW Squadron. Tprs Astbury, Bailey, Crane, Hall, Gallagher, McQuade, Mellor, Milley, Mountain and Wheelhouse also joined us. We wish all the best to those departing
and a warm welcome to the new blood. Outside of the wire Sgt Slattery and Tpr Bradley became fathers for the first time and Cpl Berwick added another to the clan; very many congratulations to Nadine, Nicola, and Lucy.
Later this year I will hand over the reigns to Dom Davey, who returns from the staff after two years at Combat Capability Directorate. An old D Squadron hand himself, I know that he is looking forward to the challenge and the privilege. For me this will mark the end of five happy years with The Green Horse, both as a Troop Leader and the Squadron Leader; they have been the happiest times of my Army career and I will always cherish the memories.
