LADIES THAT LAUNCH CELEBRATE SAILING INTO OUR TENTH YEAR!
The launching Ladies continue to share the joy of a quiet midweek estuary. LTL attract a different group of new sailors each year to join the hardy core of regular launchers and what is so exciting is that we give people the chance to cast off and sail. It is fair to say that numbers this year have been smaller but to those that have joined us each sail is certainly worthwhile and the benefits to us all are plentiful.
Once again a highlight at the end of
our season ended with adventures to
the Hipple, Yalton Creek and up The
Bag. Whether you are experienced, or a complete beginner do come and enjoy the fun, we’d love to have you join us. The new season will start in mid-April, so please watch out for updates on our website.
2020 will see a day change and we shall be launching on Thursday mornings. After lunch there will then be the possibility of joining in the new Thursday afternoon informal dinghy sailing sessions.
Thank you to the whole team of Ladies that Launch and to everyone involved over the years for hoisting sails and dreams and for all the fun we have had pursuing this sport which we are so fortunate to do. Jayne Morris
Many thanks go to Roger Odell and Peter Sturgess who kindly help with these
fun sessions and share their nautical knowledge. Ursula Ferguson has been wonderful in her support of our sessions and her regular WhatsApp Group keeps people informed of when and who is launching on a particular day. At the end of the season many thanks and happy
memories were shared on our WhatsApp Group (both on and in the water!) and one post sums up why we need to keep this super sailing group going
“ I had one of my best summers ever thanks to LTL... terrific fun, excellent guidance, support by safety boat and great lunches at the Club afterwards. Already looking forward to sailing next year...”
