CAMEO
On three days in December last year, local restaurant business Casa Suena, hosted CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other) lunches, with support from Thrapston Farmer’s Market and Thrapston Town Council. The lunchtime gatherings were aimed at local senior citizen residents and provided a great opportunity to get together and socialise at what can be a lonely time of year for some older people.
Customers enjoyed a delicious three-course
lunch and plenty of Christmas cheer, including some impromptu karaoke!
Mayor Craig Wheeler said: “The lunches were incredibly well attended and I felt it was really important to support such a fantastic community initiative created by a wonderful local business. It really helped get some older residents in the town back together again, especially after the difficulty of the past few years, and spread some festive joy.”
