WHAT’S ON
In and Around Thrapston
Thrapston and Raunds Rotary Club
The Thrapston and Raunds Rotary Club has changed its meeting venue. We now meet at the Wheatsheaf, Titchmarsh, and members have been enjoying the food and hospitality at our new venue. Our Charity Quiz night was a big success. All teams did themselves proud, and the main quiz result was very close with only 2 marks between the first two teams. The quiz was very popular, with those present asking for a repeat in the future, and also the fish and chips went down well too, thanks to the excellent food provided by the Pisces fish and chip van.
April sees the start of the Sailability season at Grafham water and members of our club, along with members of other Rotary clubs
in the area, will once again be providing support to sailors with a range of different disabilities.
Our next fundraising event will see Thrapston Town Band playing at the Plaza Centre on Saturday 27th April. Final details were not available as this issue went to press but we hope you look out for adverts and that will join us for what we are sure will be a great night’s entertainment!”
Rotary Shoeboxes
We will again be doing 300 boxes and
are grateful for any donations of the following: pens, pencils, rubbers and pencil sharpeners, coloured pencils, notebooks or pads, small cars and games.
We also are looking for dynamo torches. We have purchased footballs and pumps with money from a generous donor. We thank them so much for their generosity.
Donations can be dropped of at 10 Heron Avenue,Thrapston. Thank you all for your continued support.
