AUSCHWITZ VISIT FOR AIR CADETS
28 Cadets and accompanying staff took part in an educational trip to Poland organised by 2490 (Spen Valley) Squadron.
The trip started when the cadets flew to Poland and had a walking tour of Krakow. This was followed by a visit to Auschwitz Birkenau, before a trip to the Polish Aviation Museum. The final day saw a visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mine and Oskar Schindler’s Factory.
This was an excellent trip which they all enjoyed and learnt some valuable lessons about history.
