Members of the newly formed Nansledan Allotments Association have made
terrific progress since gaining access at
the beginning of June to what is the first
of several allotment sites integral to the design of this growing Duchy of Cornwall community on the outskirts of Newquay. Within days, plotholders (including several mini plotters) had worked the soil, which is predominantly clay so rather challenging. They had started their layouts and
some built raised beds (filled with lovely Cornish compost to give early planting a great boost) and other structures on the definition of blank canvas plots. Exciting start with lots more to come.
