local church at Warren and over £1,500 was raised for Squadron funds by the SQMS’s ever-enterprising tuck shop and build-a- burger challenge.
C Squadron’s return to Tidworth coincided with the last of the KRH battlegroup’s return from Estonia and there commenced three weeks of happy reunion. WO2 Dyer’s immaculately planned Ramnuggur dinner started the celebrations and there was little let up until Christmas leave. Farewell to Capts Lynch-Staunton and Harcourt
Leader (Captain Jack Harcourt), our Artificer (Staff Sergeant Des Dickinson REME) and 3rd Troop Sergeant (Sergeant Lewis Rymer)... but all have moved onwards and upwards to allow new blood to flourish, including approximately twenty new Troopers from training.
And that new blood has plenty to look forward to. 2020 will see C Squadron lead the KRH provision of guards to the Royal Palaces in London and Windsor from May to July. As a task never before given to the KRH or its antecedents, it promises to be an unparalleled privilege and all will be welcome to come and wit- ness the glory of Cherries on the palace forecourts!
