Acupressure & Qi Gong
  While emotions are a normal and necessary part of our lives, prolonged periods of various emotions can lead to imbalances in our mind and body.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), emotions are one of the causes of disease and people often seek acupuncture to help balance out those emotions. A common complaint acupuncturists hear from patients is that he
or she is stressed. But what stress is for one person, may not be the same for another. Some examples of stress are anxiety or fear, grief or sadness, fright or shock, anger or irritability, worry or overthinking. Being in any of these states can then also lead to a number of physical
symptoms
as well, from headaches and insomnia to gastrointestinal issues or pain.
In TCM,
each of these
emotions
relates to
a specific
meridian or energetic pathway in the body,
that enables these emotions to be balanced out accordingly through acupuncture, acupressure, or other holistic practices such as qi gong. With regular treatments or practices, we can keep our emotions managed and keep ourselves from experiencing any physical symptoms
