It is clear that the summer months that there has been so much activity not only in Yorkshire and The Humber but also across the UK and internationally with exchange visits, camps and expeditions aplenty. I am sure you
will enjoy reading of the exploits of the cadets and their dedicated adult volunteers who give up so much of their time and energy to ensure the cadets gain the maximum benefit from
you have been up to in the intervening years and what you are doing now, so don’t be shy, put pen to paper and let the Editor know!
If you are a unit commander, or even if not but you are interested in telling your story, do send stories in. The Editor knows how much is going on out there in each of the cadet forces; just tell the rest of Yorkshire and
the Humber what you are doing and

whatever is on offer, from mountain biking to Air Experience flights and shooting to sailing. The cadets and their leaders look to have managed a bumper summer of excitement.
As we head into Autumn the
round of Lord-Lieutenant’s award ceremonies will have taken place by the time this edition is published so look out for the Spring issue to see who was awarded a Lord-Lieutenant’s certificate for their service and which cadets have been appointed as the Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet for their respective county.
The Cadet Review is approaching uxy its20thanniversaryissueinSpring
2025, the first issue being published in the Spring of 2005. However, it does not feel like 20 years at all. Across the Autumn the intention is to circulate copies of the first issues from 2005 and ask for an update if you were featured in one of the magazines. It would be really good to hear what
spread the word of all the hard work and effort which is being put into your units to benefit the cadet experience.
Many of the activities mentioned above have also featured on the RFCA website at https://www. rfca-yorkshire.org.uk in addition to their own media channels. Do take a look at the RFCA website too.
Please continue to send, high quality stories and pictures in for
the magazine, which makes for excellent reading material, not just around Yorkshire and the Humber, but nationally. A plea though, do look closely at the quality of the pictures beingsentwithstories;manyhave been rejected as they were of poor quality or content and would detract from what would otherwise be good contributions. Keep sending your stories and do please note the copy dates below and the guidance notes on submission of articles.
