Army Bench Press Championships with former RAPTCI Sgt (SI) Edwards


The Regt won for the irst time, the Sp Comd South X Country League 
and at going to print were leading the Sp Comd South Basketball 
League. The Regt also had numerous personnel across a plethora of 
sports selected to represent both the Engineers and the Army.


2013 was also the irst time the Regt had hosted the Army Bench 
Press Championships, where numerous competitors turned up 
from varying backgrounds (this included the Emergency Services). 
It was a great event with 1RSME Regt winning 2 of the weight 

categories, The Regt is already looking forward to hosting further 
events in the Army Powerlifting series.

To date I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at 1 RSME Regt and 

am looking forward to completing my irst full year the next time 
the MBS goes to print....

& 2 civilian lifeguards.
& Permanent Staff programme all the Staff have recently qualiied 
as Level 1 S&C Coaches through the excellent company KBT.
DCPG boasts some excellent facilities including a swimming 

pool, loodlit astro turf pitches, glass back squash courts and an On a personal note, I’m due to leave the Army this year after 26 
estate comprising of Rugby, Football & Cricket pitches. These are years service and would like to take this opportunity to wish my 
frequently utilised by Civilian & Service Teams including RAF & fellow Corps athletes best wishes in whatever path they choose.

looking after Permanent Staff, the PTIs have managed to get away
