MAJ (RETD) DANIEL O’CALLAGHAN –

THE OLDEST MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION

received a letter in June 2013 informing the Association that Maj
(Retd) Daniel O’Callaghan celebrated his 100th Birthday on 7

Aug 2013 which I am sure qualiies him for our oldest Association
member. An extract from the letter informs us that Daniel is
limited in his movements and can only walk short distances with
a walking frame, however when his hearing aids are working he is

very ‘with it’. With the letter I received a history of his Army and
Corps Career and a number of photos which I thought would be
of interest to the readers.
