Having the fun all over again!!
ReStrung is a Thrapston based acoustic band comprising four guys, each with a different musical heritage, who have returned to playing because they enjoy it and are “having the fun all over again”.
The band was formed in 2016 where the guys were all part of the Thrapston U3A’s Live Music Group. Someone said “Anyone want to take it to the next level and form a group for real gigs??” Frank, Neil, Tony and James put their hands up, and the band was born. Since then they have played twice at the Oundle Fringe, in 2016 and 2017; at various pubs and parties; and most recently in Thrapston entertaining those at the Farmers’ Market.
Vocalist and guitarist Frank Boydell says, “Our music is rooted in the songs that the baby-boomers will remember but the music is for anyone and everyone”.
The band is suitable for a wide variety
of events including pubs, cafes and music festivals, but, adds Frank “Parties are a
real favourite - we love to engage with the audience and we tailor our approach to their requirements - softer if they want to chat (or even just listen!!), or louder if they want to dance!!”
