Becoming a trustee
There is an on-going requirement for Association members to volunteer their services as a trustee of the Association as existing trustees finish their period in office, or resign from the position for other reasons. If you think you have what it takes to be a trustee, please make your expression of interest to the General Secretary who will keep your name on file. All applicants for trustee positions should submit an up to date CV, together with a summary of skills they can offer. Trustees are unpaid but reasonable expenses can be claimed. Training is required and is supported by the Association. Specific skills in the fields covered by the four sub-committees are especially welcome: History and Heritage, Finance and Grants, Media and Communications, Membership and Marketing.
Board meetings are held four times a year at Robertson House, Camberley and occasionally at other venues. Sub-committee meetings are held when required.
