 The QARANC Association Board of Trustees
The QARANC Association Constitution (1163821) dated 2 October 2015 and formally adopted for use by the Trustees on 1 January 2016 defined that the Association should have:
Three ex officio Trustees:
The most senior Corps member (formerly Director Army Nursing Services) now Chief Nursing Officer (Army) as President
QARANC Colonel Commandant as Chairman A senior QARANC Warrant Officer
Five Nominated Trustees:
A retired QARANC Lt Col/Col as Vice President
A senior serving QARANC Officer
A serving QARANC Officer responsible for Chattels
A serving QARANC Reserve Officer
A serving QARANC soldier holding the rank of Cpl or above
And not less than four nor more than seven appointed Trustees.
Further detail about appointments and tenures can be found in the Constitution.
The Board have agreed the following subcommittees who operate within their Terms of Reference:
Governance – This is chaired by the Vice President or Chairman and membership will be according to need. They will ensure governance issues relating to legislative and regulatory requirements are managed.
Finance and Grants – This committee will have four members and will be chaired by the Vice President or Chairman with Maj (Retd) Dixson or Mrs Davies and two other Board members. The committee will specifically review requests for benevolence grants. The Board will need to all be in agreement or the request will be referred to the Board of Trustees.
Media and Communications – This is chaired by Maj Saunders. Maj (Retd) Calderwood is acting as Editor of The Gazette.
Heritage and Chattels – This is chaired by a non-Trustee as a subject matter expert, Lt Col (Retd) Spires. Col (Retd) Quinn acts as Vice Chairman to this committee which has both Trustees and others as its membership. This membership (non-voting) includes Mr Jason Semmens as the Museum of Military Medicine Museum Director.
Membership and Marketing* – This is a new Subcommittee which will address the membership and database issues. Membership will include the Senior QARANC Warrant Officer and two other Trustees.

The Board meet four times a year currently at Camberley. Subcommittees will meet more frequently.
The Board are supported by the Branches and further detail about the Branch Chairmen and Secretaries will be published in the next edition of The Gazette published in the autumn.
