Investiture at
Windsor Castle for
Air Cadet Stalwart
Flight Lieutenant (Retired) Stuart Ensor was delighted to be invited to attend his investiture at Windsor Castle recently where he was presented with the OBE for Voluntary Service to Young People, announced in the King’s New Year Honours list, by The Princess Royal.
Stuart was accompanied by his family who have supported him throughout his service with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, and where he is now the National Chair, whilst also serving as a member of both the Reserve Forces and Cadets Finance and Property Advisory Boards. In 2025 he will complete fifty years of continuous adult voluntary service with RAFAC, after joining as a Cadet in 1960.
Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet
Due to unforeseen circumstances, where two of the cadets appointed last year were unable to fulfil their duties, the Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire, Mr Jim Dick OBE, agreed to appoint an additional Army Cadet to supplement the team. Cadet Company Sergeant Major
Tyler Sanders was appointed just prior to the Freedom Parade on 14 April and accompanied the Lord-Lieutenant during the inspection and parade.
