 Cultivating
Power
When the weather turns cold, we wrap up warm, pop on the heating and spend more time indoors, often putting down our gardening tools until the warm(er) welcome of spring. But autumn is possibly one of the most important times for a keen gardener or allotment owner – it’s the work done at the end
of the season that prepares a barren plot of land ready to turn into a bright and colourful oasis of tranquillity in the spring. And let’s not forget that there’s nothing quite like a hot mug of tea, a crisp autumn breeze in the air and a trowel in hand to blast away the cobwebs!
This tranquillity, however, can sometimes be spoiled by your garden tools’ petrol engines. The intrusive noise while you’re blowing away leaves? The smell of pollution taking over the aroma of apples in the air? The risk of petrol explosions in your potting shed? No thank you.
Tough tasks needn’t require petrol, with the petrol-matching power of EGO’s range of outdoor battery-powered tools.
For those not familiar with the brand, EGO,is part of an international manufacturing business established in 1993. Since the very first days they’ve pushed the boundaries of cordless technology. Today they are one of the world’s biggest tool manufacturers, producing over 10 million units each year, selling in 65 countries worldwide.
Part of the EGO range, which stretches from mowers and chainsaws to hedge trimmers and brush cutters, is the award-winning Ego Power+ Multi-Tool – with a range of high-tech attachments, it lets you breeze through a variety of jobs, no matter the season.
With the very latest in battery technology, the EGO Power+ Multi-Tool is now as much at home in the potting shed as the garden shed with its new Cultivator attachment (model number: CTA9500), ready to support home growers and allotment users prepare soil for the winter months.
EGO’s 56-volt lithium-ion battery, the industry’s most technically advanced, means using a tool with no petrol fumes, no cord to trip over or cut through and having petrol-matching power. With faster recharge times, starting from just 30-minutes using EGO’s Rapid Charger, also means less waiting, more cultivating and more growing.
With up to a 70-minute use on EGO’s 5Ah battery, the Multi-Tool Cultivator is a great versatile tool. This new attachment normally retails at £149/€199 (Power Head, Battery and Charger sold separately*).
Beyond the season for cultivating the multi-tool continues to work hard, with users able to choose from five other interchangeable tools: line trimmer, brush cutter, hedge trimmer, edging tool and most relevant for plot holders with fruit trees, the pole saw. Whether its pruning plants back in the autumn, trimming lawn edges or cutting down hedges following the end of bird nesting season, EGO’s Multi-Tool is ready to support allotment owners and keen gardeners in getting ahead for the next growing season.
The 10" pole saw attachment (model number: PSA1000) enables the user to prune branches without the use of a ladder. Ideal for use in fruit trees and features a 3/8” chain with a simple chain tensioner and clear oil reservoir.
, The EGO Power+ Multi-Tool uses EGO’s 56-volt Arc Lithium battery, engineered to match or surpass the performance of petrol-powered outdoor power tools, and is interchangeable with all the tools in EGO’s range.
