it’s the Comer Covid
3-Man Show
Following on from the last edition of Simply Veg and the success of his One- Man-Show, Chris Comer decided to hold
a Three-Man-Show for three local NVS members, Graham Ridler, Robert Heigham and himself. Once again Mike and June Davies were roped in to judge. It is obvious from the photo of Mike judging, that this took place during lockdown and the hairdressers were closed!
Chris had set up the tables in his back garden which looked very impressive and had produced a schedule of several classes and the judges were impressed with the standard of the exhibits. The exhibits
were staged under a gazebo with all the relevant paperwork to hand, all looking very professional. Coffee and chocolate biscuits were also provided for judges and exhibitors and social distancing was strictly adhered to.
Prizes were well shared around and it was a very enjoyable morning. However, disaster struck!! A gust of wind suddenly came, lifted the gazebo right off the ground and it landed onto Chris’s garage roof. The gazebo was no more – in its correct format anyway!! Chris’s idea turned out to be rather an expensive one.
During the unprecedented times, this ‘bit of fun’ came as a light relief from the restrictions in place and well done Chris for not only thinking of the idea but for putting it in place.

Shows and Events 2021
Bucks DA Annual General Meeting
Dear Bucks DA members,
I’m sure you are aware our AGM is normally held late February or early March in the village hall at Wingrave. The coming AGM will need to be held under different provisions and therefore our plan is to hold the meeting remotely without members present. I’m sure
you will understand and as our AGM’s are brief and uncontentious, I foresee no problem in adjusting to these extraordinary circumstances.
On Tuesday 9th March 2021 I will circulate the reports, accounts and list of vacancies to all Bucks DA members for whom we have an email address. Those who do not use email can contact me on the phone in advance and I will post you copies of the paperwork.
You will have until Friday 19th March to raise any questions or nominations to the committee via myself.
On Tuesday 26th March the current committee will hold the meeting and
I will report back to you all with brief highlights of what was covered and agreed.
We’d also really appreciate your input on what you would like to see happen in the Bucks DA, so please don’t miss this opportunity to help shape our
way forward as well as to hear some important announcements.
