Association Subscriptions
Preferred method of payment for members no longer serving – the preferred method of payment is direct debit as this is in the best interests of both the association and the individual members. However, some members continue to pay by Standing Order. Standing orders cannot be cancelled by Headquarters so members are urged to check their bank statements to ensure they are not paying by both methods by mistake, Due to cost of administration, overpayments are not usually repaid, but become donations to the
association.
Members who still pay by Standing Order
are urged to consider payment by Direct Debit. The necessary mandate is available from Mrs Zoe Reid Association Administrator at Headquarters

Celebrating Nurses Book Offer
Fil Rouge Press is the UK Publisher of Celebrating Nurses: A Visual History by Christine Hallett.
The book looks at the history of nursing globally, and includes much material on military nursing through the ages. As well as chronicling early conflicts, including the Crimean Wars, it notes the formation of Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service, has a significant mention of Maud McCarthy and her role in the First World War, along with a large picture of her. There is also mention of the role of QA nurses in the Second World War and a feature on Brenda McBryde and her compelling memoir of wartime nursing and more recently there is a portrait of Royal Red Cross holder Jan Pilgrim in the nursing heroes section.
It would make an excellent gift for a nurse. Fil Rouge Press are offering a special price for the book to QARANC Association members of £12.99 including postage & packing.
