                                  RIDING HIGH
Finlay Hanna – Oundle’s 6 year old motorbike racer
Finns, 6, has been riding motorbikes since he was 3! He has been given special dispensation to enter the British minibikes bambino class a year earlier than normal due to his abilities on a bike. Because of this, he is racing in a class that mainly consists of 8-10yr olds. He shall be riding a predator mini GP 90cc.
Finlay’s season started mid-July, where he finished 9th in his first race and 11th in the second race. He had a great weekend at the end of August, finishing 13th out of 18 riders, and achievied 3rd in his class.
We asked Finlay some questions:
How did you get into racing? Mum and Dad took me and my brother, Alfie, to Donnington park to watch their friend race. After that, I fell in love with racing and started riding
on a mini moto.
What’s your favourite part of racing? Going really fast and seeing all my racing friends. Which famous motorbike racer do you
aspire to be? Marc Marquez.
If you could race on any particular track
anywhere in the world where would it be?
Donnington Park.
What would be your ultimate bike to ride?
Ohvale GP-0 110cc in the new Ohvale UK class. School – best subject/ worst subject? My
favourite is PE and the worst is maths.
Who sponsors you? Trendalls Butchers of Oundle sponsored my new leather race suit,
Hart Vehicle Logistics sponsored my tyres, ICON Automotive sponsor the race van so I can get to races and Bike Angels Legal Services pay for some of my race fees. I’m really grateful to them all for their help.
