30 CRUISING REPORTS
have we eventually decided and rang the restaurant with our order. Collected in the tender, a wonderful meal was had moored, in still conditions.
Last day was to swim before breakfast
and take Susie back to marina. It was only 4 miles, but the wind had dropped to less than 10 knots and we were thankful that it had been over 15 knots all the rest of the week. Hot and humid. We would have had to have had the AC on had the conditions been like this for the previous 6 days, as it was the fresh breeze that had made our week perfect.
We handed over the boat with no problems and made our way to the airport
where we flew back to Antigua, who had relaxed their COVID testing requirements, so we had no need for a test although we were checked for temperature and COVID vaccinations on arrival. We spent two nights in an all-inclusive hotel that had been the Sunsail base until the hurricane, after which Sunsail pulled out.The hotel was a little tired but the staff were excellent, so for
the last night we found a superb restaurant owned by a Swedish lady, who had been a model and had purchased a plot and a house and converted it into a restaurant. The food was divine.A fitting end to our first sailing in BVI.
