    BAAFTAS come to
Beaumaris!
Beaumaris Allotments Society recently held its BAAFTAs (Beaumaris Annual Awards For The Allotments) in the ballroom at the Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris, when plotholders were rewarded for their hard work throughout the year.
With awards ranging from Longest Runner Bean to Most Productive
Plot, there was something for everyone and competition
in some of the categories was very fierce.
Chairman,
Andrew Dixon
said: “This
evening is the
culmination
of another
superb year
for Beaumaris
Allotments. Following our successful opening under the National Garden Scheme last year, being featured on BBC Gardeners’ World this year really was the icing on the cake. But none of that would be possible were it not for the hard work
of the plotholders and tonight is when they get recognition for their efforts.”
