Oundle Town Council
 The Hub
Last year, OTC took the difficult decision to close the Hub at Fletton House, but the silver lining may be using the Hub area as a strong community space.
Councillors Liz Holland and Val
Chesser have worked with OTC staff, and local groups including the Oundle Baptist Church and Volunteer Action in order
to see how we can create a space which residents can use. Fletton House’s position as
a ‘community hub’ surrounded as it is by the Library and Oundle Surgery, makes it the ideal community centre, and we hope to work with many groups over the next few months to fully utilise its capabilities. We’re also reviewing our audio visual setup in the whole building to make it fit for the next decade.
loveOundle.org
Oundle is a great place to live, visit and do business but it became clear that the old oundle.info website had seen better days,
and after some excellent thinking on its replacement by Justin Jefferies and Paul Eveleigh (Oundle Business Association OBA), we started to collaborate on a new website. www.loveOundle.org was born!
It aims to serve the residents of Oundle better, but also to draw visitors to our historic,
vibrant town so they can find out why we love Oundle. We have so much to shout about - our independent businesses offering a fantastic range of goods and services; valued community organisations; and lots of cultural events – and if you haven’t seen Ellie’s loveOundle video, then you must. It was a pleasure to help fund the videos OBA commissioned videos too. Check out loveoundle.org; and be social with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Paul Eveleigh notes “This has been another successful collaboration between Oundle’s Business Association and Oundle Town Council. We have found by supporting each other we can magnify our impact for the town. We have also seen how our young people can, with the right idea, confidence and motivation create themselves a business straight out of school; well done Ellie Wickes for creating a fabulous town video, I am sure Wickesmedia. co.uk will be a great success”.
